About
One of my favorite questions to be asked is "What would your friends say about you if they didn't know you were listening?" It always gives me pause for thought. I don't know. My gut reaction is my true friends would never say anything about me that they wouldn't say honestly in front of me, to my face. Keeping secrets is not my thing nor is not being true to one's self. My friends might say that I'm adventurous, daring even; independent, strong-willed and stubborn, definitely. Hardworking, tenacious, persistent might even come out in the comments. Who else is in their office before the sun rises if they don't have to be? Such comments would probably all be quite accurate depending on the day of the week. I tend to do my own thing; take on projects, create projects and need to be doing something all the time. I've been a technical writer (full time and contracted part-time) for 20 years; I've earned my MA in Literature in 2008 and I successfully defended my dissertation and earned my PhD in 2014. I have managed to accomplish quite alot and all of that before middle age. I am still not sure I know what counts for middle-aged. I'll be sure to let you know when I get there. Everyday, I feel like life is just beginning and I am looking forward to what the future has in store for me.
